Join a day tour from Colombo to the historic city of Kandy, where you can explore the famous Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya and the Temple of Tooth Relic. Kandy is a must-visit during your Sri Lanka holiday. The drive to Kandy takes around four hours, and we suggest having lunch in the city. Our driver can recommend some good restaurants. After lunch, explore the Temple of Tooth Relic, Kandy Museum, and take a leisurely walk by Kandy Lake. We’ll start the return journey around 5 pm, taking four hours to reach Colombo.

Discovering Kandy in a Day

Kandy is a beautiful city in Sri Lanka known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. It covers an area of about 1940 square kilometers and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has attractions like the Old Royal Palace and the renowned Temple of Tooth, which houses Buddha’s sacred tooth, making Kandy a sacred place for Buddhists. Other holy sites include the Gadaladeniya Temple and the Lankathilake Temple.

Kandy offers an exciting shopping experience with souvenirs like precious stones, handmade laces, and stone and wooden carvings.
